BACTERIOLOGICAL LABORATORY TEST
IN ORDER TO VERIFY THE EFFICIENCY OF THE MAGIC CLOTH
We have tested its capacity of eliminating bacteria living on surfaces and on objects of daily use
(tables, sinks, floors, windows, plastics).
Methodology applied:
The Magic cloth is an ecological cleaning system, as it removes dust and dirt from any
surface, as well as eliminating most of the bacteria present on surfaces.
These operations are made with water only, without chemical products, thanks to the structure of the
cloth, which is made of microfibres.
Before using it again, the Magic cloth can be regenerated by hand-washing or machine-washing at 90°C. Do not use conditioner or
bleach.
In order to verify the cleaning properties of the Magic cloth, they have made three series of test using 9
cloths: 3 cloths new, 3 cloths subjected to 20 cleaning and regenerating cycles, 3 cloths subjected to 40 cleaning and regenerating
cycles.
The tests have been made on the following surfaces:
- laboratory table
- office desk
- refectory table
On each of the three selected surfaces they delimited an area of 1 square meter; this area was divided in 4
sectors, on which they have made the following treatments:
- sector 1: no treatment
- sector 2: cleaned with the Magic cloth new
- sector 3: cleaned with the Magic cloth used, washed and used another 20 times
- sector 4: cleaned with the Magic cloth used, washed and used another 40 times
In order to determine in quantity the presence of the different micro-organisms, they made the drawing according to SSK
(Square Sample Kit) method. This method allows them to pick up bacteria by means of sterile cotton tampons bathed in a sterile physiological
solution, on an area delimited by means of a flexible screen of 100 cm2.
The picked up samples that have been suspended for beating in peptonized tamponed water; from
suspension, after preparation of decimal dilutions, they proceeded with sowing in ground "Standard Plate Count Agar"
(APHA) and with incubation at 32°C for 48 hours, in order to determine the CBT, total bacterial
charge.
The results are on Scheme 1.

DETERMINATION OF VOLATILE SUBSTANCES
They made analytical determinations looking for the presence of solvents or volatile
substances.
It has been demonstrated that there are no solvents or volatile substances, as shown in Scheme 2.

CONCLUSION
From the results, they state that the use of the product "Magic cloth" allows the removal of
dirt, as well as the reduction of bacteria living on dirty surfaces.
The cleaning effect of the cloth remains practically constant even after 40 washing and cleaning
cycles.
The tests exclude the presence of solvents and volatile substances in the cloth.
